LNG Canada Development Inc. initiated the project to build a new liquefied natural gas
(“LNG”) liquefaction facility and export terminal, initially consisting of two (2) liquefaction
trains and all associated facilities, located at a site in Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada.
The Project ambition is to be the “Safest Project on Earth”. LNG Canada Development Inc.
entered into a contract with JGC Fluor BC LNG JV to perform the engineering, procurement,
fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up assistance, and
testing assistance services of the LNG liquefaction facility and export terminal. LNG Train 1
includes a natural gas liquefaction unit with a comparably-sized natural gas pretreatment
unit, an LNG Storage Tank, an LNG jetty and loading dock and marine structures capable of
berthing and loading LNG Tankers with capacities from 130,00 m3 to 217,000 m3. LNG Train
2 includes a natural gas liquefaction unit with a comparably-sized natural gas pretreatment
unit, the necessary connections to the Common Systems, and other Systems.
